FREE Youth All-Bodies Swim Event

for LGBQT2S+ Youth and their Allies

Recreation Surrey and Youth 4 A Change are hosting another FREE Youth All-Bodies Swim Event for LGBQT2S+ and their Allies.

All-Bodies Swim: All Genders | All Sexualities | No Judgement |No ID needed | Ages 13-21

WHEN

Monday May 20th, 2019 from 4:30-6:30pm,doors open at 4:00pm.

LOCATION

North Surrey Recreation Centre (10275 City Pkwy, Surrey BC) after the pool has closed to the public for the evening.

The All-Bodies swim will include all pools, 3m diving board, rope swing, hot tub, saunas, music and much more!

Hang out on the pool deck, play board games, and enjoy some snacks!

The inclusive features for the swim event includes accessible gender-inclusive change rooms, washrooms and showers with grab bars, pool wheelchair (no ramp into pool), pool lift to main pool and stairs with railing to access the hot tub.

Swim Dress Code

Wear what works for you – but remember clothes must be clean and fresh, not the ones you wear to the event and please no denim or shoes in the pool. Anything below the waist must be covered.

Please consider the comfort levels of others.

Important Details

For the safety and privacy of youth attending the event, note that parents, guardians, and other adults are not permitted. Parents or guardians are able to drop the youth at the front entrance and Youth Engagement staff that will safely welcome them into the facility to participate in the All-Bodies Swim event.

No in and out access – once you’ve left the event you may not re-enter.

Surrey Pride Festival – June 25th

We will be marching in the Surrey Pride Festival on June 25th in Holland Park near Surrey Central.

The Surrey Pride Society creates events not only for the growing Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, Two-Spirited, Queer (LGBTTQ) community within Surrey, but free

family focused events open to the vast multi-cultural community that makes up Surrey, B.C. and the surrounding cities and towns.

It’s A Queer Life

On August 14th, 2017 in conjunction with New Westminster Arts Council we will be hosting a one night only art show, entitled “It’s A Queer Life’. We are seeking submissions to be considered for inclusion. Artists are responsible for own printing/mounting etc, all art will be returned.
